Teaching English to adults

Maybe children are not your thing? Then how about teaching English to adults instead? Many adults who work in local government offices are keen to learn English. Surin is very far from the tourist trail and locals get little opportunity to meet western English speakers, let alone interact with them. Learning English will allow these people to improve their job prospects and in turn provide better lives for their families.

LemonGrass will organise learning topics but volunteers will generally aid locals in conversational English. This project is a great way for volunteers to meet local Thai people from all kinds of backgrounds and experience their way of life first hand.

The project runs Monday - Thursday, 9am-3pm and usually lasts for two weeks. We can, however, arrange for volunteers to carry out this project for longer should they so wish.
